A number of components of the systems used by the Primary Care user community are contractually provided by EMIS. Although the contractual responsibility for delivery lies with EMIS, DHCW provide a test service that will mitigate the risk of production software defects by undertaking a level of assurance once testing of a release has been completed by EMIS, but prior to the release being deployed into the production environment. In addition to the defect risk mitigation, DHCW assurance prior to release into production is intended to improve the end user experience and satisfaction with the EMIS products.
